Whilst out driving one day, I had to pull over to take a few shots of this scene because it was to make a powerful painting.
God was inspiring me to paint inspired by Revelation 14:14 – A freshly harvested field which speaks about the end time harvest of souls!
The wind was pushing the clouds across the sky with speed. And it was with great urgency that the sun broke through. It was like a searchlight sweeping across the land looking for what it might find. Below was the field. Harvest stripped away leaving carnage; a dramatic and violent event.
The weather was uncertain and as I looked at the field, I imagined the farmer looking at the sky. Saying, “Lets act quickly and grab the harvest in before the weather breaks.’ Therefore I was reminded of Revelation 14:14 where we see an angel with sickle in hand come to take the harvest in!
What God was saying about the harvest…
‘There is coming a time soon when the Light of my love will sweep across the land. It will search men’s hearts: looking into their very souls. There will be a harvest of souls. Just as the farmer looks at the weather and says, ‘Now’, it will be a sudden and urgent event.’
‘Then an angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice….
’Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come. The harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.’
